5๐ŸŒŸ Review: Offensive Rebound: Holding Court by MJ Fields

Offensive Rebound: Holding Court Offensive Rebound: Holding Court by M.J. Fields
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

MJ Fields has a unique writing style that makes you fall in love with not only the main characters but each and every character along the way. They all find a way into your heart.
Callie simply melts your heart. Trae's mom is a strong loving woman who supports her son in all that he does. Christa, Courtney's best friend is a riot and has Courtney's back through the good times and the bad times. Courtney is a feisty, stubborn yet determined young lady who accepts the challenges in life and fights not only to simply survive but to live and conquer all that's been thrown at her. And Trae (sigh) is a single daddy, giving all that he is and all that he has to make life good for his little girl - the sacrifice is great, but the reward will be worth it. But when it comes to his women, he likes to talk dirty and he especially likes to get Courtney all worked up - both on the court and off. He's a six-foot-eight stallion in more ways than one!

As I read this book, I found myself vested in Courtney's character as a woman trying to make it in an predominantly male world. Respect is not something that is given freely by a lot of people and some may never even allow you to earn it. Barriers and obstacles are found at every turn, but with her determination she doesn't easily succumb to defeat. Even the best laid plans requiring redirection or alternate ways of achieving the end goal, but sometimes plans change and suddenly plan B doesn't matter and the people involved matter more. #HisSeasonHerTime

I highly recommend this book for anyone loving a dirty talking alpha male who takes care of the women in his life before he worries about himself
