Xavier and Anna - bring the heat with a touch of sweets

This book had a fast, steady pace that kept me on edge to see what would happen next and how it would all turn out. I loved how Xavier's strength was displayed - not only his physical strength, but the mental strength that it took to not only endure his past, but to fight for his future and make something of himself.

I have never wanted to beat the crap out of a grandmother in my life until reading about Xavier's experience with his! That is just so wrong and my heart is bleeding for him, having had to endure that at such a young age. Anna Cortez has had her own shares of trouble and heartache. I'm not even sure we know the extent of it all yet. One things for sure, Michelle Valentine sure has me wrapped up in these characters and I can't wait to move on to book 2.
Warning: this book does end in a cliffhanger, but no fear since book 2 has already been released.
